The Center for Working Families, Inc. provides
two categories of services and supports to NPU-V residents and each
category has its own set of eligibility requirements:
Moving
to Work Pathway
During its 18-month pilot, TCWFI is targeting its Moving to Work
employment services to residents of the Mechanicsville and Pittsburgh
neighborhoods. Any residents who were relocated from these neighborhoods
as a result of redevelopment at the Atlanta Housing Authority’s
McDaniel Glenn complex (Phase I or Phase II) or the Pittsburgh Civic
League Apartments are also eligible for employment services and
coaching. After completion of the pilot in April 2007, all residents
of NPU-V will be eligible for these services.
Moving
to Wealth Pathway
During its 18-month pilot and beyond, TCWFI is offering its Moving
to Wealth income-boosting and asset building services to all residents
of NPU-V. Any residents who were relocated from these neighborhoods
as a result of redevelopment at the Atlanta Housing Authority’s
McDaniel Glenn complex (Phase I or Phase II) or the Pittsburgh Civic
League Apartments are also eligible for these services.
Fatherhood
Initiative
During its 18-month pilot, TCWFI is targeting its Fatherhood
Initiative services to fathers who reside or whose families reside
in the Mechanicsville and Pittsburgh neighborhoods. Eligibility
also extends to fathers who were involved in the relocations of
McDaniel Glenn or Pittsburgh Civic League Apartments, regardless
of where they now live. After completion of the pilot in April 2007,
fathers who reside or whose families reside in any of the NPU-V
neighborhoods will be eligible for these services.
