The work of The Center for Working Families, Inc. (TCWFI) is based upon research on best practices in workforce development and asset building from across the country. Under the standard model of service delivery in these areas, customers who frequently have to rely on public transportation are required to travel across town to a variety of service providers. At TCWFI, these services are bundled together and offered to residents under one roof in a convenient neighborhood-based location. When participants need additional services that TCWFI does not provide, TCWFI can refer them to partners but it remains connected to them to ensure that those additional services meet their needs and are accessible.
